I moved to Australia in 1997 and called Canberra home since then, I have been an active community volunteer, particularly amongst the Indian diaspora. I have been very active with KAC since the beginning and also served as EC member for FINACT and IAAC for several years. I’m interested in making, maintaining good relationships, linkages with other organisations and promoting the great work carried out by the Indians in Australia. I’m happy to volunteer at any level or platform in community organisations in ACT and surrounding region

Vice President

I moved to Canberra in 2008. Since then, have been an active member of the KAC. Over the years I’ve met many people who, now are like my extended family. I’m excited to be part of this year’s EC and look forward to a fun filled year!

Born and raised in the multicultural and diverse city of Bengaluru, I was actively engaged with Rotaract International and served in various committees for community service and youth development. After completing Masters in UK, I moved to Canberra, Australia in 2009, which we now call as home. A busy mum of two boys and since moving to Canberra, I have been an active member of KAC participating in various activities / events organised by KAC. My passion for cooking, organising events and interests in serving the community was my driving force to be part of FY 20-21 KAC committee. I welcome opportunities to contribute to community work, help individuals in my capacity while celebrate their achievements and build long lasting friendships.

I migrated to Australia in the year 2010 and I am a Dentist by profession. I am an ardent crafter. I like to crochet, knit and paint in my spare time. I never shy away from lending a hand to help others in need. I will work in the best interest of the community to fulfill my role as a treasurer.

Cultural Officer

A proud mum of two kids, hailing from beautiful town of coastal Karnataka, I am a loved member of the Kannada family here in Canberra. Being 11 years with Kannadigas of Canberra and a member of this association's past committees, it gives me great pleasure to be elected as part of year 2020-21 committee. I believe, coming from a musical background family, having been part of various theatrical shows and 20 plus years of dancing experience will help me carry out the role of cultural officer for Karnataka association of Canberra efficiently
